Diamondback 510IC Indoor Cycle Review
There are Better Fitness Bikes

The Diamondback 510IC Indoor Cycle has an innovative design and some nice features such as the computer-controlled resistance and the aero style handlebars but Diamondback has been known to have some quality issues with their indoor cycles. Diamondback 510IC Spin Bike

The 510IC is Diamondback's Entry Level Indoor Cycle and is more reasonably priced than the high-end Diamondback 910IC.

Although the 910IC has more advanced features (such as a wireless heart rate monitor, more resistance levels and workout programs and a heavier flywheel), the overall design of these 2 bikes are very similar to each other.

Since the more advanced 910IC has been known to have mechanical issues and problems with the electronic console, which them makes the bike inoperable, and since these 2 fitness bikes are so similar, I can not recommend the Diamondback 510IC.

Although the Diamondback warranty sounds good on this bike, the warranty on the frame is "Limited Lifetime" warranty which states that there are exclusions but the exclusions are not specified. The rest of the warranty is average but warranties are only as good as the customer service department that backs them up and there have been some complaints in this area.

About-Bicycles Review

The computer-controlled resistance on the Diamondback 510IC is actually a nice feature but it does add a level of complexity to the bike (over the completely mechanical training bikes) and since the console controls the resistance on this bike, if there are any problems with the electronic console (which have been reported on the 910IC) then the bike becomes inoperable until the console can be fixed or replaced.

If you would really like to have a magnetic resistance Indoor Cycle then the Schwinn AC models, such as the Schwinn AC Classic, are a better choice but they are commercial grade fitness bikes and are very expensive.

If the Diamondback 510IC is in the right price range for you, and you just want a solid bike, with nice features, for a good workout (and you don't need a magnetic resistance indoor cycle) then I would suggest the NordicTrack GX5.0 Sport Bike.

Overall, the design and features on the Diamondback 510IC are nice but there are some issues with quality and resistance levels on Diamondback Indoor Cycles that you may want to review further and there are better fitness bikes available.
