Horizon Fitness produces high quality, no frills, fitness bikes that are very affordable and have the best warranties for stationary bikes in their price range.
Horizon Fitness is owned by Johnson Health Tech (of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin), which is the third largest fitness equipment manufacturer in the world. Johnson also produces the Vision Fitness, Matrix, AFG, Merit, Tempo and Treo brands.
Horizon has recently come out with a new recumbent (the Comfort-R) and a new upright model (the Comfort-U) to improve their selection of fitness bikes.
Horizon Bikes are smoother, quieter and more stable than other stationary bikes in their price range and have much better warranties to back them up.
For example the Horizon Comfort-R has a Lifetime Warranty on the frame and 1 year for parts and labor.
On a recent trip to the Horizon headquarters (Johnson Fitness in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin), I was able to review the Horizon RC-30 Recumbent along with many other much more expensive exercise bikes.
The Horizon bike was pretty basic and didn't have all of the "extras" that were on the more expensive bikes but the comfort, stability and overall feel of the bike was comparable to the more expensive brands.

The only other fitness bikes in the Horizon Fitness price range (that are good quality entry level bikes) are some (but not all) of the Schwinn Models.
The Schwinn Exercise Bikes have more features (such as telemetric heart rate control on some models and a larger number or workout programs), but the overall quality (durability, stability, comfort, easy of use) and the warranties are not as good as the Horizon models.
Unfortunately, many of the older model Horizon Bikes (all of which are rated very highly with customers) are either hard to find or no longer available online. It would be very nice to see a larger selection of exercise bikes from Horizon.
About-Bicycles Brand Review - Horizon
My biggest complaint with Horizon is that their current selection of fitness bikes is so limited.
Their current recumbent model, the Horizon Comfort-R has all of the key features that you need in an recumbent stationary bike (i.e. a heavy and stable frame, comfort, stability, contact-grip heart rate monitoring) as well as a Lifetime Warranty on the frame and1 year for parts and labor. The overall quality of this bike can not be beat at the entry level price that is sells for.
Their Training Bike, the Horizon M4 Indoor Cycle, is also priced very well and has some excellent Indoor Cycle features (such as the electronic console to monitor your progress and the 42 pound flywheel) and also has a 10 year warranty on the frame.
With Horizon you get high quality, no frills fitness bikes at entry level (budget) prices so you can save your money (or spend it on something else!).
