Good Budget Fitness Bikes

Marcy Logo Marcy Exercise Bikes are low cost (budget) entry-level stationary bikes that have very few of the extra features that you get on more expensive bikes.

Although Marcy Bikes are made better than other low cost stationary bikes, these are entry-level machines that should be considered for limited or light use or if you are on a very tight budget only.

Although the company that produces Marcy stationary bikes (and fitness products) has gone through many changes over the years, Marcy actually got its start in 1946 when Walter Marcyan founded Marcy Gymnasium Equipment so this company has been around for quite some time now.

If you have read other reviews of mine on this site then you know that I am not a big fan of low-end fitness bikes or indoor cycles. You can usually get quite a bit more for your money for a relatively small increase in price.

With that being said, if a low-cost fitness bike or indoor cycle does meet your needs, then Marcy is a good choice.

Marcy has a good selection of Fitness Bikes and Cycling products including Marcy Recumbent

  • Upright Models
  • Recumbent Models
  • Indoor Cycles Bikes
  • Dual Action Fan Bikes
  • and even Mini-Exercise Bikes.

Marcy's Dual Action Fan Bikes give you some alternatives to the much higher priced Schwinn models although Schwinn has recently come out with a much more affordable fan bike and we would recommend the Schwinn Airdyne AD2 Fan Bike as the best bike in this category.

If you are really on a tight budget then Marcy's Mini-Exercise Bikes will be the cheapest option but keep in mind that these machines are very hard to keep in place and they are not even in the same category as traditional stationary bikes.

If you have an outdoor bike, then a Bike Trainer, which is an Exercise Bike Stand for your outdoor bike, is a very economical option and may be a better budget option than a Mini-Exercise Bike.

In general, you will get what you pay for with stationary bikes and other fitness products and I would recommend Marcy Statiomnary Bikes (or fitness products) for very light and/or very limited use only. If you can afford to spend just a little more, I would suggest looking into the mid-range Schwinn Stationary Bike models.

It is also a very good idea to check the many Customer Reviews on the specific model that you are interested in at sites like Amazon and/or Wal-mart (who both have a good selection of this brand).

Although the average ratings of customer reviews can, at times, be misleading, Marcy Stationnary Bikes usually rate a little higher (and a little more consistent) than the reviews of other budget brands.

In the end it is up to you to make the best decision based on the facts that you have available to you, of course (and I hope that the information presented here can help you with your decision).
