Bike riders entering Badger State Trail tunnel

Shortly after taking the previous photo, with just the trees in the background,  I heard a group of bike riders ~ a young family ~ approach and took the photo above as they were about to enter the tunnel.

Bike Riders with helmet lights in tunnel

The photo above shows bike riders passing through the tunnel with their helmet lights. I did not use my camera flash for this photo so you can't really tell that they are wearing helmet lights.

Northern entrance of badger state trail

This photo shows the red brick walls of the tunnel as I approached the northern entrance. Note that this photo was also taken without a flash.

Graffiti inside Badger State Trail tunnel

This photo was taken in nearly the same place as the photo above but in this case I did use my camera flash. Note that you do not even see the graffiti without a flash but it is there when you have enough light to see it.

Tunnel entrance with reflection in puddle

Next I took a couple of photos of the northern entrance to the tunnel which was starting to get a little wetter (there were places where there was water dripping from the top of the tunnel). The photo above has my bike at the entrance and shows the reflection of the outside of the tunnel in the puddle of water in the foreground.

After I took a few more photos from this location, I realized that the puddle in the foreground had a great reflection of the tunnel entrance and I tried to take advantage of that. When I first the photo above from a distance I thought that it looked a little like an exclamation point but more like a shoe print.

I guess I'll call this photo "Shoe Print Tunnel Entrance"!

Northern entrance to bike trail tunnel

This is also a shot of the northern entrance to the Badger State Trail Tunnel but with a little different look (without the puddle reflection in the foreground).

One more shot of the northern entrance to the tunnel from a little closer to the tunnel entrance. As you get closer to the entrance you start to see the detail of the woods and the trail outside the tunnel.

This particular shot looked a little like a colorful (psychedelic) light bulb from a distance.

Looking back at tunnel entrance

As I came out of the tunnel on the northern end I looked back and also got some very different views of the tunnel. This one shows the red brick walls with some green highlights followed by what looks like a dirt tunnel although I believe that it is actually stone walls once you get past the brick.
