I love this shot! What else can you say about this one. They look like they are having a blast speeding down this hill.
And, of course, you have cyclists with their kids riding in the child Bike Trailers behind upright road bikes.
We saw a number of these very low rider, hand powered recumbent tykes also. I rode next to one for a while and the guy was able to go really fast except is seemed like it was very difficult to get up steep hills.
Here's a woman with the more traditional Bike Child Seat. We actually used these when our kids were very young and before so many of these other bike attachments were so prevalent.
Check this one out. Now we have a guy with one kid on a trailer bike behind him followed by a bike trailer (I'm not sure if there is a kid in the bike trailer or if they are using it for extra supplies.
This is the rest stop just before (or after) you turn around on the north end of the Bike the Drive route (at Bryn Mawr). The snacks were good and easy to get to (no real lines or anything). I just had an banana, a muffin and a cookie but there were other things available too.
I noticed this Cannondale tandem bike parked at the rest stop and just have to snap a quick shot of it. I didn't know Cannondale made tandem bikes ~ but I don't know why that would sup rise me.
Dale captured a photo of the Bike The Drive Cyclists ~ heading south ~ with the Hancock building and Chicago Skyline in the background...
