Scenic sunset seen from the Fox River Trail

This photo is from the Fox River Trail (FRT) at one of the wider parts of the river. This photo is from the trail opening with the benches (on the previous photo page).

You can catch some nice sunsets here but then, if you are on a ride, you need to time it right so you don't end up out on the trail in the dark! I did get caught on this trail after dark one time at the end of a long ride and it was not fun at all.

Back on the trail again, this photo is from south the opening in the trail in the previous photo and just before you get to Otto Engineering as you come into the town of Dundee (or technically West Dundee and East Dundee).

Beautifall fall tree along Fox River Trail

I couldn't resist throwing in a kind of scenic fall photo here. This photo is along the trail near Otto Engineering. The Fox River is on the left and the trail is on the right. This was a beautiful, sunny fall day a few weeks before most of the other FRT north photos.

Line of trees along Fox River Trail at Otto Park

Here's the line of trees at the Otto Engineering park with the trail on the right. The Otto sign is along the trail in the distance. If you blow the photo up to zoom in you can see that.

This is the same part of the FRT where the driveway goes into the Otto Engineering parking lot.

Riding the trail south as you come into the main town area of  Dundee and cross Main Street ahead in the photo above.

Crossing very busy road on FRT in Dundee

This is a very busy road and you need to pay attention here. Fortunately, the bike trail is well marked and there are very visible "Stop for Pedestrians" signs in the road and most traffic does stop when they see bike riders coming.

So you may not actually need to stop but of course you never know (there are some crazies out there) so, as I mentioned, you really need to pay attention here.
