Oak Leaf Trail North Photos
Milwaukee River to Lake Michigan

The photo above shows one of the wooden bridges over the Oak Leaf Trail as we headed south from the Milwaukee River parts of the trail into the University of WIsconsin part of the trail on the way to Lake Michigan

You pass under a number of local street bridges also ~ as you can see above ~ which shows the OLT heading south towards Lake Michigan

This photo shows a little bit of Lake Michigan off in the distance and this is just after you pass over Lincoln Memorial Drive which is the road that runs along the beach

I tried to get a photo of how crowded the beach was on the day of our ride but on the way back we rode on the opposite side of the highway and I had to do a wide angle view to try to show the beach crowds. You can see this better with the enlarged view.

If you do ride this part of the OLT on a nice beach day, the bike trail is much less crowded on the non-beach side of the highway.
